To Use Pre-Workout or Not?

To take pre-workout, or not to take pre-workout, that is the question...

For those of you who do not like the feeling of what pre-workout supplements do to your body, those who have caffeine sensitivities, or just don't trust the non-regulated items out there, there is a safe alternative!

Fuel your body with good, clean nutrition and don't waste your hard-earned cash on pre-workouts.

Our Energy Bites are the ideal pre-workout snack; containing the perfect amount of carbohydrates, proteins, healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins.

You might be asking your self, why Energy Bites?

Our Energy Bites contain Oatmeal, which is high in complex carbs, it is a good source of protein, it has a high soluble fiber content, and it has a low glycemic index (providing a sustained release of energy). This is all super important when you're putting your body through a rigorous training session at the gym. Oatmeal also offers your body a regular dose of Vitamin B and it is rich in minerals and antioxidants.

Our Bites also contain Peanut Butter. Peanut Butter provides a sustainable amount of protein, along with essential vitamins and minerals (Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc).  Peanut Butter also improves satiety (you feel full), and it is high in healthy fats and fiber.

Raisins are also another main ingredient in our Energy Bites. They help fuel your body when exercising, just as well as expensive sports chews (if not better) & they also provide fiber, potassium and iron, in addition to not having any added sugars, artificial flavors or colors. Raisins can also keep your bones strong, as they offer one of the highest concentrations of Boron in the Western diet. (Boron is a trace element that is important for keeping your bones and joints healthy).

Finally, Chia Seeds are an excellent source of fiber and they have a high-protein content.  Combined with regular exercise, Chia Seeds play a role in reaching a healthy weight.  They also contain a high level of Omega-3's, which can help improve metabolic health and stabilize blood sugar levels.  Folks with Type 2 Diabetes must carefully control their blood sugar levels and choosing high-fiber foods including Chia Seeds can help manage digestion and avoid crazy spikes/crashes that other products and pre-workout supplements can provide.

Don’t be fooled by pre-workouts!  Stay informed and fuel your body properly for a great workout!
